Baby Boomers of age 55 and younger people 24 years old all ask who is that and where we got it. Everyone we've played this for has LOVED every song. I don't care if you're a jazz fan or not, you will enjoy this entire CD.
Not the best cd I have ever heard.maybe I don't know jazz like I should.
These artists all had discs in Burns' series.Another pleasant treat. ENJOY. Jelly Roll Morton, The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and several others that did not get the Ken Burns "royal treatment" are getting it now on this specially priced compilation. 'The Best of Ken Burns JAZZ' offers all of the highlights from the discs you can buy in the series on one CD. You'll get a lot of bang for your buck.Highly recommended for any jazz or 'Ken Burns JAZZ' series collector.
Well, now there's a solution. Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday and Dizzy Gillespie are all on this disc. The inclusion of artists that were not in the series. You won't regret this purchase. Don't feel like buying every single artist in the 'Ken Burns JAZZ' series.
All of the jazz giants are here. Overall, if you want a quick look at Ken Burns' series at a great price, than do buy 'The Best of Ken Burns JAZZ.' You won't be disappointed.
Ken Burns provides the best jazz music in this compilation. I would recommend this CD to anyone that wants to listen to something upbeat. This a great CD to own if one hasn't listen to jazz before. I do not own many jazz CDs, but I greatly enjoy listening to this one. The CD is great to listen to during a bbq, dinner, other family events, etc.
I bought this as a gift for my son. It will be my last purchase at Amazon as long as they promote products that encourage animal fighting.
